Exploring Belgian Beer Culture from an Archaeological Angle

There will be a special event on 25 August!
In the afternoon on 25 August, Belgian beers and beer culture will be introduced by the beer expert, while guests are tasting the real Belgian beers on site. Furthermore, experts who have archaeological background will be there for introductions combining archaeological perspectives with Belgian beer origins and styles. Therefore, on top of the beer culture, there will be archaeological knowledge added on to that, for example, when were hops appear and used by people to produce beer, what kinds of evidence for such conclusion, the origins of different brands of beers, etc..
